Solution Focused Brief Therapy 

Like physical health, mental health requires regular maintenance and care. Neglecting symptoms and minimizing the impact of stressful or significant events can push individuals to a breaking point. In about 4 - 6 individual sessions, we snatch people off the ledge, restabilize their experience, and send them back into the world to live the better life they deserve. 

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy 

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focuses on restructuring cognition by promoting self awareness and recognizing unhealthy thought patterns. The relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors is explored and emphasized. CBT is proven to be highly effective in helping individuals make long lasting changes that improve overall wellness and functioning.

Anxiety and Depression

Anxiety and depression can become debilitating when left untreated. These issues can impair one's ability to work, make it difficult to engage with the world, cause physical problems that require medical attention, and simply impact overall quality of life. We work with individuals to develop skills to manage distressing symptoms, explore the root causes of the anxiety and depression, and offer medication intervention as clinically necessary. 

Interpersonal Relationships

Conflict and chaos in our relationships can affect mood, concentration, and self- esteem. The quality of our relationships with others is often an indicator of the quality of our relationship with ourselves. Psychotherapy is an excellent opportunity to evaluate our current relationships with self and others, identify areas of improvement, and develop new healthy habits.

Culturally Competent Mental Health 

Culture is context and representation matters. As society thankfully shifts to becoming more aware and accepting of all things mental health, it's important that cultural context isn't left behind. Culture plays a key role in how we relate to ourselves, other people, and the world. We combine cultural context with mental health education, services and consultation.
